You Have a Voice

Let’s hear it.

I always used to keep my opinions to myself. Never thought they really mattered or anyone would listen. This year I have realized that maybe not everyone will care, and maybe not everyone will listen. But there is a chance one person will listen and that’s why now I am willing to speak up and voice my opinion. Especially with everything going on in the world right now, our voices are valuable and need to be heard.

You Have Something to Say

You could have an opinion about literally anything, anything at all. Whatever it is, let it out. Be heard. If you are debating about writing a post or an article or stating your opinion. Do it. Don’t think, just do it. Your opinion matters. It is so important to just let out whatever is swirling in your brain because if you start to dwell on it or overthink, you will become stressed. Even if others might not agree, you deserve to be at peace with yourself and not second guess your thoughts. Let them out. If you have something you want to say, say it. Your opinion is just as important as anyone else’s.

Someone Will Listen

Even if it is only one person who reads your full article or post, that is at least someone. Who knows maybe that someone could share with others and then through word of mouth your idea is shown to many. I started writing because I realized I have a lot to say and I am not the best at talking, I am better at writing. So that is what I did. If I can change one person’s point of view about something I would feel accomplished. I would love for someone to take something from what I have written. It would be great if it were more than one person, but we all start somewhere. I am a firm believer that you have a better chance by going after your beliefs and goals by doing them, rather than second-guessing yourself. I have come a long way from that thought process.

Don’t Let Anyone Stop You Including Yourself

We tend to second guess almost everything we do nowadays. At least I know I do. It is a really bad habit and one that is difficult to break. It is possible though. It is not easy getting your thoughts and ideas out in public. It takes time and persistence and a bit of self-confidence. Believing that even if no one looks at your post, that at least you got it out there. That took effort on your part and that’s half the battle. With more time and persistence who knows maybe you will reach many people with your ideas and opinions. Don’t let your self-doubt get in the way of your ideas. Also, don’t listen to the negativity from others, don’t let the doubt of others get to you. If you think you have a good idea, let it out.

Let Go

Let go of the self-doubt, negativity of others, and say what’s on your mind. Speak it or write it but get it out. The longer you doubt or overthink the more stressed you will feel. The stress will weigh you down. Don’t give it a chance to and let it go. See where it goes. You are allowed to have an opinion and allowed to speak what’s on your mind. So do it. Let it all out. You might get some backlash, or maybe even some praise. Don’t feed into either. Just know you got out your thoughts and now it’s out for the world to be view. No longer weighing you down. You will feel so much better and possibly question why you ever gave it a second thought.

At the end of the day, we all have something to say. Not everyone will agree with one another and that is fine. We all think differently and have different views. There is a chance that what you have to say might change the way someone sees something or change their thought process. We can learn so much from one another. If you have something to say, just say it.
