You Don’t Need to Be a Gumroad Affiliate to Be a Gumroad Affiliate

A secret tip for you if ever you want to affiliate for a Gumroad product without the creator actually making you an affiliate.

If you’re into affiliate marketing, you must have heard about Gumroad by now, it’s a highly popular e-commerce platform aimed at online creators for various types of digital products like podcasts, courses, templates, and more.

One of the biggest things Gumroad offers that puts them ahead is their product-level affiliate capabilities which are offered for free.

Meaning, if I create a product, I can choose who is an affiliate for that product and what % of the sale I want to give them.

I myself am an affiliate for over 100 products on Gumroad, although I only promote a handful from time to time.

There are products I promote from time to time that I’m not an affiliate for, so I make no money, but they are awesome products so I don’t mind doing it for free to help my audience.

But now, I don’t have to do it for free anymore, I can become an affiliate for almost every single Gumroad product that exists.

Granted it’s only for a 10% commission, but that’s still way better than the 0% I was getting before.

Every single product that a creator leaves eligible (products are eligible by default so 99% of them stay that way) for the Gumroad Discovery program works.

The creator won’t even know the sale came from you or that you’re affiliating for their product, as the 10% you get is from Gumroad giving you their 10% “discovery fee”.
