You Don’t Need Exercises To Be Healthy And Fit — Here’s Why

If you want to be healthy, you don’t need treadmills or weight machines. Let’s check out why…

In this more-is-better world, it is easy for all of us to get caught in the overtraining trap. However, when it comes to exercises, sometimes we have to do less to ensure our health.

I am not saying that you should quit exercising; I am just saying that the workout schedule should have several rest days too.

Here are the reasons why you don’t need exercise to stay fit and healthy.

Exercises Are Addictive

If you are habitual of going to the gym every day, then you must quit exercising as soon as possible. Why is it so? Well, it has been proved that consistent exercise can lead the body to produce endorphins. These hormones are secreted by the pituitary gland and are responsible for relieving pain, decreasing anxiety and creating feelings of euphoric happiness. However, endorphins are similar to the drug morphine in terms of their chemical properties.

For so many people, compulsive exercises can be psychologically addictive, and for bodybuilders, athletes, marathoners, and cyclists, stopping or reducing exercise can lead to depression, anxiety, and stress.

A balance needs to be maintained between your workouts and other activities.

If you don’t want to go to the gym on a particular day, then you shouldn’t. Maybe, your body wants to rest, and if you won’t give it proper rest, you will end up developing minor or major complications.

Exercises Hurt Your Heart

It has been found that exercises can hurt one’s heart. Out of every 100 athletes, 50 show signs of fibrosis, and those who don’t do exercises regularly are said to be living healthy, fit and energetic lives.

It is believed that the chambers of the heart (two atria and two ventricles) get damaged due to regular, consistent and long term exercises.

You need to avoid high volume and high-intensity workouts. You must engage yourself in proper warm-ups and good cool-downs before and after every workout. Plus, you can avoid competing in events like ultra-marathon and ironman triathlon.

It is believed that refined sugar and fats kill countless people every year. These contribute to diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, high blood pressure, and other severe complications. If sugar and fats don’t kill you, then they will reduce your lifespan for sure.

It is good to cut out sugar and fats rather than doing a lot of exercises every day.

In simple words, it can be said that you just need to eat good foods and get involved in a few physical activities to be fit.

Do you think you can live a healthy life without exercise?
