An author’s most frustrating moment is not when they fail to go viral or get a thousand views a day. The most frustrating moment is at the end of the month when the reward arrives in your bank account.

Most authors are thinking about the next step to take in 2024, as they are unhappy with the little revenue they are collecting through their online work. A group of authors are indeed earning thousands of dollars a month by writing little, and thousands of authors are earning a tip while writing a lot. This doesn’t mean that their work isn’t of quality there are two perspectives, those who are fighting behind a veil so that their faces are seen by the crowd, and those who are already in front of the crowd convincing them every day to consume their content.

In a note from Substack Tim Denning wrote the following: “Write alone and make money alone.”

In a Zulie newsletter, she warned: that most authors who write online see affiliate programs as a long-term, full-time job that should pay them a monthly salary. But it doesn’t work that way, writing online is fun, but making money from writing is a way of getting motivation for our work online, we shouldn’t see it as a job. That’s why we should have several sources of income to maximize our earnings and not rely on just one source of income and be disappointed at the end of the month.

You can be the master of your destiny by building multiple sources of income and managing to build an ecosystem that can pay you up to three figures a month for years to come. Writing online is not a simple job, it requires consistency and a lot of patience, written content takes years to be successful, but that doesn’t mean you’re not being noticed, you’re building something great for a better future, so keep writing, and instead of migrating elsewhere, create content in several places and earn money in all those places.
