You Cannot Put a Price on Peace of Mind
Because you cannot buy happiness
There comes a time when we realize that money cannot buy happiness.
We realize that money cannot buy health or love or peace of mind.
We understand that money can make our life more comfortable during our living years. Still, money cannot bring back our deceased loved ones or stop us from joining them. No amount of money can prevent our inevitable death.
Money does not smile and coo like a newborn baby. Money cannot replace those sweet minutes with our children while they are growing up.
The moments when you feel your heart smiling because your child accomplished a major milestone.
Money cannot buy us another moment or two of those loving memories.
Money cannot provide comfort when we are feeling alone.
Money cannot buy happiness because it is priceless.
I am grateful for the happiness in my children’s life. I can see the peace of mind in their eyes. Their peace of mind brings joyful tears.
Nothing thrills a parent more than knowing that their child is living their life with joy and peace of mind. There was a time when I was uncertain if I was failing as a parent. I had many different doubts.
One day I realized that all parents have some doubts. After all, we are only human. I began to understand that we do the best we can and we hope.
We hope that our love will conquer all and our child will reap the benefits.
Although money cannot buy happiness, I would pay a billion dollars to know that my child is safe and happy. And that he has grown into a fine upstanding adult.
It does not matter to me what my child chooses for his occupation in life. Whether he is content to draw pictures for a living, pick up trash, or work in the service industry. It does not matter what he chooses for his occupation as long as he is happy and fulfilled.
My work as a parent is complete once I know that my child has peace of mind and happiness. That’s when I realize no matter how many mistakes I made, my child has survived and is happy.
As a parent, there is no greater happiness than knowing our child is safe and happy. No amount is too much to pay. Our child’s happiness is priceless!
What are your thoughts about happiness? What makes you happy? What do you feel about your children’s happiness? Leave me a comment if any of this resonates with you.
