As an author, there are many things we can feel guilty about. But there are also many things we simply have to accept.
A missed writing day can mean defeat. Finding a spelling mistake on the cover of the latest book after its publication is a disaster.
We should avoid such things at all costs, no question. But we can’t take care of everything, can we?
A professional writer has more than an eight-hour workday. Many things that employees do after work are left until the weekend or longer.
Instead of being ashamed of the fact that our lives sometimes seem more disorganized than other people’s, we should acknowledge that our profession brings this chaos with it.
