You Can Forget and Have Fun

Photo by Denis Agati on Unsplash

Lucky for you You have no clue, Just how stupid you are.

If you thought about it You’d see you’re better without it, With your brains, you’d not get that far.

It’s not such a disaster This world is far vaster, Than the tiny realm that you understand.

Thinking leaves people broken And the truth is unspoken, This is no promised land.

But you have no cares No regrets or despairs, You take each day as it comes.

Whilst the smart wonder why And the good things pass by, You can forget and have fun.

These grand educations And high brow vocations, Change our idea of what’s good.

It leaves most of us spent Wondering where the years went It’s no fun doing just what we should.

So I envy you Man with no clue, And the sense to be pleased just to be.

You might observe my life But none of the strife But you wouldn’t ever want to be me.
