You as God’s Witness
Poetry
Nothing is as it seems The fabric of this place, is ripping at the seams Mind can’t conceive destiny, so why won’t it let me be I want what’s fated for so long I’ve waited The timing still perfect After treating the moment worthless The path laced with fun temptation Tentacles of the devil cling me to trouble You can’t have animosity and be free If emotions be the master, you’re headed for disaster If money be the motive, you’re dying to live With the inner voice on surround sound We are the background and foreground The camera’s always rolling, you as a God’s witness Is living out any impulse a curse or a gift? Lost and submerged, what could be worse?
