You Are My Moonlight

I woke up by chance just around midnight,
Into my room streamed the beautiful moonlight,
Harvest moon oh did you shine so bright,
I peeked out my window to gaze at your divine light,
Across the meadows, creation was indeed a mesmerizing sight,
Iridescent pearl you were dancing tango with the night,
Gracefully, sensually you moved from left to right,
The stars usually so distant wanted to hold you tight,
For an instant, a second, I dreamed I was a kite,
Soaring to the heavens, climbing with all my might,
A playful puppy among the clouds, soaring to new heights,
To bask for a second in your magical moonlight.
