You are different, you are special!

Our biggest strength is our uniqueness.

Don’t be someone else, be YOU!

So often we are caught up in trying to be someone else, someone whom we envy or look up to in our lives. Although there is no harm in looking up to someone, but more often than not, we tend to forget who we are and why we are different from others.

There is a reason why GOD has created each of us differently. So that we can be ourselves and can paint this world with our own unique ideas and imaginations. What might be a random stroke of brushes for some can be a genius modern art masterpiece for someone else.

Humans are only bounded by their imaginations and thinking and there is nothing that we as humans can’t do. We just have to look within ourselves and nurture the embryo of self-confidence and individuality and in time you will see the endless possibilities this world has to offer to you and vice-versa.

Great things happen with unique ideas

Imagine if Bill Gates hadn’t invented the GUI(Graphical User Interface) based computer which could change the way we use and interact with computers, we would still be stuck using computers in black and white mode.

Imagine if Steve Jobs had not envisioned the future of mobile phones and computers, and how Apple would redefine the definition of a smartphone or a PC. Who knows we might still be using some old fashioned bulky phones and computers and Apple might not be the first 2 trillion company in the US?

There is a famous quote from Steve Jobs which I like a lot —

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.

There are innumerable examples in the history which insinuate how these conglomerates became what they are today and what are their success stories. They might have different stories but they have one thing in common — they had unique ideas that no one else had at that time.

All they did was follow their heart, believe in themselves, and had the guts to do something different which no one else had done before.

So, here is my take on realizing the power within ourselves and seeing the world as we want it to be.

I don’t want to do this, I want to do that,

I don’t care if I am not thin, or I am fat.

For you, blue means sky or it can be sea,

but for me, I choose to color the things, the way I see.

I may not be the brightest on this Earth,

but surely I know, I am something with some worth.

I want to make the choices for myself,

I am happy to be a hero for someone, or to someone an elf.

He has carved each one of us different and special,

but we are busy in wearing masks and doing faux facial.

How hard it is to know, what makes one happy and gay,

and how easy it is to say your say.

Don’t let your voice drown in the waves of others’ noises,

But sail in the boat of confidence and feel good about your choices.

The world will stop you at every step and will pull you in a quagmire,

But the universe will present you a rope of hope, to come out of a situation so dire.

It's our duty to follow our heart and pursue our dreams,

Don’t let others decide if you are hay or a cream.

After the sunset, the sun doesn’t mourn,

because it knows, the next day it will be reborn.

One day, someone will be proud of me and give me a pat,

because I did not do this, I did that.

In the end, I would conclude by saying that just be yourself and try to be a better image of yourself than a distant image of someone else.
