You Are Beautiful: The Truth About Beauty

So often, children learn at an early age that the way they look has a big influence on the rest of the world. This is incredibly disturbing to me.
At a time when their mind isn’t fully developed, they are questioning whether they are beautiful by the standards of strangers who often pursue questionable intentions.
The whole topic often shapes lives towards either trying to impress others, or even worse, trying to fight the negative feelings from not meeting the standards set by others.
The world shouldn’t be this way. You are more important than any outward appearance you may present to others. Beauty is very much comprised of one’s inward being, and you are absolutely beautiful.
Forget About Others
Forget about what others want to see from you. They will always want to take as much as they can and will rarely provide anything substantial in return.
Instead, live life the way you want to live it and know that inside you is a beautiful creature that no supermodel or famous movie star can ever fully understand.
Forgetting about others is not easy when everything on television and social media is telling you otherwise. However, this is one of the more important life lessons you will ever learn. Your world should revolve around more than just appearances and looks.
Search Inside Yourself For Your Inner Beauty
To the contrary of what the world around you might want you to do, search inside you for what it is that really makes you beautiful. Everyone has strengths that showcase their true beauty. Your job is to find that beauty within you.
It may be your kindness to others when they are in need of help. It might be your care for others or the environment. Perhaps it is the way you go out of the way to brighten someone’s day.
Whatever it is, there is something inside of you causing you to want to do good in this world. This is what truly makes you beautiful.
Outward Beauty Never Lasts
The main trouble with the appearances that the world values is that its worth always disappears over time. The perceived physical beauty one possesses may outlast others, but it will never outlast the test of time.
For this reason, be grateful if you are blessed with physical beauty but understand it will only be a matter of time before that passes away. The ones who only care for that beauty will leave as soon as the beauty is gone.
However, for those attracted to your inner beauty, their appreciation for you will only grow as time progresses. Cherish that beauty as it shouldn’t ever flee from you.
Above all else, always remember that you are beautiful, even if it isn’t the misguided beauty prized by so many others.
