YESTERDAYS & TOMORROWS

Between yesterday and tomorrow, we forgot about today

Reliving your past life is haunting

“I should’ve done this and I should’ve done that”

What a perfect life you could have had

It’s enough to drive a person mad

Yesterday I went to work

A 9 to 5 that I hate

Yesterday my boss was a jerk

Came back home and got baked

See, starting a new journey can be daunting

We often picture a better tomorrow

Something greater on the horizon

But that step towards it — always tomorrow

Tomorrow I’m writing my book

Tomorrow I’m working out

Tomorrow is all it took

Tomorrow came and I was full of doubt

“But there’s always tomorrow”

I said that to cope

All my yesterdays were failures

But “Definitely tomorrow” — let’s hope!

I then got to thinking

I doubted myself tomorrow

Because I was so focused on yesterday

So if I let go of that sorrow

Maybe I’ll take that step today..

Good luck on your journeys!
