Yes, You Can Have Sex With Someone and Still Be Racist Against Them
Why are we still having this conversation in 2023?
Eventually, we have to become adults and put away childish things. No matter how much most of us wish it would go away, racism still exists and will likely continue to persist in the foreseeable future.
As such, at some point, we have to also stop thinking the best of everyone. Indeed, I don’t know if most of you have met the human species, but I sure have, and it has been an overrated experience from the very beginning.
People are fake.
They follow crowds, jump on bandwagons, and live their entire lifetimes in an effort to impress others. The average person never fully lives in their truth, and instead, they do and say what is considered acceptable among their social circles.
That brings us to why we’re here…
Yes, You Can Bang Someone and Still Hate the Race They Belong To
I was having a conversation with some associates recently, and one of them spoke about a man they believed was racist. And someone immediately responded, “But his kids are half Black.”
*Record scratch* And?! Do people still think people can’t have kids with races they hate and still be racist? Even after all the stories we’ve heard about slave masters during slavery and colonizers and Native Americans? Like…seriously?!
Humans and human sexuality are very complex; many of us are attracted to those whom we wouldn’t necessarily date or marry, myself included. So, I’m not quite sure why so many people seem to think humans won’t have sex and procreate with people they literally hate.
Why This Matters
This is a fundamental concept to grasp because such thinking prevents people from digging deeper. In other words, all anyone has to do to avoid looking racist is date, befriend, or adopt someone from that race. Then people will say, “Oh, I guess I was wrong about them!” *Face Palm!*
And indeed, we have repeatedly witnessed various celebrities and public figures pander to specific communities to overcome allegations of racism. However, they are rarely called out on it, which is a major issue.
Can you imagine the toxicity and dynamics between those who seek out people of certain races to avoid being labeled racist? This is especially true when it comes to adopting children. We have heard countless horror stories about people adopting children of other races only to neglect and abuse them.
So, although I am being somewhat facetious in my delivery, I am dead serious about the fact that we need to stop taking such matters at face value. People aren’t one-dimensional; each of us has a side to us that contradict the others. Racists are certainly not immune to this fact.
The Bottom Line
When dealing with matters as serious as racism, we definitely shouldn’t be so quick to relinquish allegations simply because someone wanted to jump someone’s bones.
I’m not sure why I still have to point this out in 2023, but people bang people they hate all the time. Although I think this is more true for the menfolk, yes, women are included in this as well. I mean, have you seen Get Out?!
Seeing someone as beneath you based on their skin color does not stop you from wanting to see their sex faces, OK? And as the saying goes, we’re all Black when the lights go out.
Do you really think people can’t have sex with people from races they hate and still be racist?
