Writing Prompt: Seed Words #3
Weekly offerings of words to get you writing: CARS

Welcome to Seed Words!
Or #seedwords if you want to find us in the tags.
I post periodic prompts — challenges, if you want to think about them that way — to encourage you to write. With each prompt, I post photographs of different words I’ve collected around town — I’m calling them Seed Words — to get you writing.
Here’s how it works:
- I post the prompt. It includes 5–10 Seed Words.
- You write, incorporating at least one of the Seed Words into your writing.
- Publish your post on your own or with any publication, and then please use the hashtag #seedwords.
- With each new prompt, I’ll do a round-up of recently tagged posts! Hopefully, we’ll all also be able to connect and uplift each other, too!
- It can be poetry, fiction, flash fiction, nonfiction, etc. anything. (I’ll ignore anything that reeks of hate, false info, clickbait, or spam.)
- It could even be one pretty little sentence.
- It should include at least one of the seed words in some context that doesn’t necessarily relate to the chosen theme. Please highlight the seed word(s) using bold or italics or both.
That’s it, I think! Just a way to get you writing.
A way to get me writing.
A way to get to know you through your writing.
You can learn more about the germination (pun intended, lol) of this idea and start with the first Seed Words prompt, if you’d like, here:
Many thanks to Ellie Jacobson for sharing these as part of her awesome publication, Flint and Steel!
SEED WORDS #3: On the Street: CARS
Source: Last weekend, my brand new car’s bumper was dented by someone who did not leave a note. Yes, I feel grumbly about it.
But as I’ve been walking around town I’ve been noticing old cars… eventually, mine will be old, too. I guess I’m just getting a jumpstart on the timeline… (Pun intended, haha — sorry, not sorry.)

YOUR WORDS ARE: automatic. camper. special. genesis. heavy. land. yacht.
❤ Okay friends: start planting those seeds! ❤
Be sure to use #seedwords and/or tag me!
