Summary

The web content discusses the comparison between AI-generated art and human-created art, acknowledging AI's capabilities and its impact on the art world while emphasizing the irreplaceable value of human creativity and expression.

Abstract

The article "Writing Prompt: Does AI Art look like Masterpieces of Famous or Popular Artists?" delves into the nuances of AI-generated art versus human-made art. It recognizes that AI art models, trained on the works of popular artists, can produce images that mimic various artistic styles. Despite the advancements in AI art generation, with tools like Night Cafe, Leonardo.AI, and Craiyon, the author argues that AI art lacks the soul, individuality, and emotional depth that human artists bring to their work. The author, who also creates art using AI, notes that while AI art can be a cost-effective and versatile tool for illustrating stories and comic books, it cannot capture the life experiences and creativity that define human artistry. The article concludes by advocating for the continued support of human artists, especially when authentic and emotionally resonant art is desired.

Opinions

  • AI art generators can produce art in the styles of popular artists but fall short of the originality and emotional depth of human-created art.
  • The use of AI in art generation should be monitored, and the importance of human artists should not be overlooked.
  • AI-generated art is seen as a blend of various artistic styles rather than a true expression of an individual artist's vision.
  • AI art can serve as inspiration for human artists and can be a useful tool for creating preliminary artwork or for those who cannot afford human artists.
  • The author enjoys using AI art generators for personal projects but acknowledges their limitations in terms of empathy and human experience.
  • There is a concern that reliance on AI art could lead to a decline in traditional art skills and the undervaluation of human artists.
  • AI art lacks the authenticity and emotional depth that comes from human life experiences and creativity.
  • The author supports the use of AI art for certain projects but emphasizes that human artists should be employed for creating powerful and meaningful artworks.

Writing Prompt: Does AI Art look like Masterpieces of Famous or Popular Artists?

I admit that some AI art models were trained in the art of popular artists

At the beginning of this craze for A.I. art generation, several programs used the art of popular artists to train their art generators. It had reached a point where the original art created by comic book artists was being reproduced by A.I. art generators.

It is now possible to create art in the styles of popular artists. However, it is not the same, as the art produced by real, living, and breathing artists. There are so many art generators on the web today, and one seems to be better than the last one. A few of the A.I. art generators that I use are Night Cafe and Leonardo. AI.

I started by trying to create various AI compositions, by simply writing prompts, and asking the generator to create works of art for me. In most cases, the art generated was imperfect. I later learned that it was possible, to request the AI art generator not to create imperfections in the art, with the help of negative prompts, like “do not add wings, do not produce double heads, imperfect bodies, and fused fingers.”

I know that the art produced by me, with the help of AI art generators for my writings and for the comic books that I create, is not fantastic. The images produced do not resemble any great or popular artists. I have heard that a few styles are taken by several artists and then blended, using artificial intelligence, to create recognizable images.

AI vs HI Art- Comparisons

There are several people who enjoy creating and viewing AI art. However, it is always worth keeping in mind that the use of AI art needs to be monitored. We need to also remember that there are human artists, and it was the art of humanity, that has endured for years and throughout human civilization.

In my opinion, I would say that AI generated art is not perfect, and it can and should never replace human art and artists. Art done by human beings is special as it helps them to express their creativity and imagination. Art created by humans is invaluable, and it could never be replaced by AI generated art, no matter how fantastic it may appear to be, even when sold in auctions at high prices.

AI generated art, in my opinion, lacks the soul and the individuality of the artist. AI created art does not express the life, the experiences and the soul of the human heart and the creative power of the human mind. Artificially generated art is a hotchpotch of several ideas that are combined to form a somewhat coherent picture. However, it needs to be kept in mind that AI can inspire an artist to create his or her fantastic works of art. I love AI art, as it inspires me to write stories, poems and to create ideas for comic books.

When an artist gets inspired, he or she proceeds to draw or paint a picture to express that creative idea, with the necessary skills of sketching and painting. AI can analyse a vast amount of data to generate new and unique concepts that could inspire an artist to create his or her own masterpieces of human art for the world to appreciate and enjoy.

If I wanted to create a piece of art and told a human artist, to draw and paint a picture of “a woman walking on the beach, towards the sunset”, it would be done for me, but it would cost me, as the artist needs to survive. If I wanted a comic book artist to create the artwork for a comic based on one of my stories, I would need to pay the artist, and it would be pretty expensive for me. The artist will be creating every graphic, and it will take a lot of time and effort. The artist needs to be paid in full for all the work done, and for her skills and expertise. I also enjoy drawing and sketching, and I have several scrapbooks of my artwork.

On the other hand, with AI art, it is a lot cheaper, mostly free, to create a variety of artwork, based on my prompt, “a woman walking on the beach, towards the sunset”. I can have several variations of the artwork, that I could use, for as long as I want, and it is all owned by me. Almost all art generator websites, give you the artwork as your intellectual property, which you can use wherever and whenever you want, from book covers, posters, to T-shirts, mugs and calendar, and it is all free. Is it also possible to incorporate AI art into the creative process? Yes, it can be done, and I do this on a regular basis for illustrating my stories and my comic books.

The disadvantages of using AI art is that human artists will be unemployed. People get lazy and do not need to do their own artwork. The skill of art, imagination and creativity, in humans will be lost. AI art lacks empathy and any form of human emotion or human experience.

Therefore, I can conclude, that AI art should be used when needed for particular projects, where rough images lacking human experience are required. Some human artists believe that AI art lacks the emotional depth and authenticity, that comes with human creativity. When powerful art, filled with human life experiences are needed, it is right to employ human artists. As a writer and an artist with human intelligence, I will state that I will always support Human Artists.
