Writing Prompt: A Mom Story
Let’s celebrate the mothers in our lives and everything they do

Some of us are mothers, others aren’t. But what we all have in common is that we are surrounded by mothers all around us.
Let’s share a mom story. This can be about your mother, a grandmother, a mother you know, your own story as a mother, any story about a mother.
It can be a funny story, a new mom story, a generational family story, a vulnerable story, a celebratory story or any other take you’d like.
Mother’s Day is also coming up on Sunday, May 8 so it’s the perfect celebration of that (for our North American friends at least — I realize that Mother’s Day is celebrated in March in other countries).

Formatting Requests
The only request we have is to format the title this way:
A Mom Story: __________________
Include a few words in the blank that summarizes your story. You can add any subtitle you wish.
Please also use the tag “Motherhood”. That will organize all these stories in the Motherhood section on Modern Women.
If you’re so inclined, we’d love for you to include a link to this writing prompt at the bottom of your story (best as an embedded link) so others can get inspired to write with us too.
Have fun sharing! We look forward to reading all the mom stories.
With love, Megan
