Writing Journey
Remembering where you started as a writer
The more that I write the more I can find I have lost this magic touch of mine I used to tell great stories in length And match the meanings with great strength I used to just rhyme freely my story Recently got lost in words and their glory I forgot where and what I started to write at the beginning I lost sight of what made me and my writing worth reading But the more I write the better and closer I get To remember and understand everything I don’t yet
I have been writing for about 3 months on this platform and when I began writing I didn’t start here. I used to write just to help me get things off my chest and found out that I could rhyme words together with ease.
Since I started here on medium, I noticed I started to forget and lose my authentic voice in my writing over time. Today, I was reading the first poem I wrote and self-published here on medium and it jogged my memory a bit and reminded me of the kind of writer I am, the one people probably want to see more of.
As I continue my writing journey and strive to perfect the writer in me and find my flow, I decided to share with you guys the first poem I self-published on medium here:
Thank you, everyone, for all your support and kind words, take care!
