Writing Is My Purpose
So, It Was God’s Idea, Not Mine

This piece was inspired by the prompt Sumera Rizwan initiated. I told her that I would participate, and seeing that I try to stay true to my word, here I am. Hope you like it, Sumera.
First, I want to talk about what I believe the purpose is all about. I’ve made mention of this in previous pieces, but I feel it’s worthy of rewriting. Besides, it’ll give more clarity to my title/sub-title.
Our purpose is what gives us the most joy. It’s that thing that we do better than all other things. It’s that thing that wakes us up early in the morning, and that keeps us up late at night. It’s that thing that we’d do, even if we weren’t paid a penny. And lastly, it’s that thing that will be centered around helping others to realize their purpose.
When I write, I always try to create not only an eye-catching opening line but, just as importantly, an unforgettable closing line as well. The former makes the reader want to continue, while the latter actives the thought process.
The last line of what I believe the purpose is all about is the most telling sign that we have realized ours. God is Love. Sharing a portion of His spirit with us is how He showed us Love, and He expects us to show our gratitude by showing each other Love. Dedicating moments of our time to ensuring others will appreciate theirs that much more, is the ultimate display of Love. Because like life, when time is gone, it’s never coming back.
The time and effort I put into everything I write are meant to encourage, enlighten, and entertain. I overstand the power of the right combination of words, so I do my best to ensure my pieces produce the desired result. And I’m not just writing for the moment but just as importantly, the future as well.
I saw my words influencing generations I’ll never know of, long before they were ever written. The phenomena came about during my time of being a reader only; I was impressed with how specific authors were able to sway my way of thinking over to their side via the written word. So, when I decided to write, I was influenced to do so in a manner that would inspire others. It wouldn’t be until I held my first self-published book, Positive Energy 24/7 that I would add entertainment to encouragement and enlightenment, pertaining to my “three E” formula. Entertainment was added to the mix because it is, for the most part, missing from the book mentioned above. Sure, entertainment has its moments, but they’re too far and between. So when I began rewriting my second book, which started as my first book, I ensured that it would have a proper balance of encouragement, enlightenment, and entertainment. And even though entertainment can be found throughout my writing as a whole, it’s still laced with encouragement and enlightenment. I’m a firm believer that just as reality influences fiction when written to do so, fiction can influence reality as well.
So, there you have it, beautiful minded people, why I believe writing is my purpose. Oh, and one more truth about the purpose before I leave you to fulfilling yours. When we have discovered our purpose whatever it is we’ll be doing; it’ll seem as if it’s being done effortlessly. When I write, I don’t ponder what it is that will be written. I just sit before my laptop and allow the spirit to use me. I’ve blown my mind on countless occasions. When we realize our purpose, God will instantaneously intervene in our affairs and ensure we do things according to plan.
Thank you for taking the time and donating it to reading my words.
May all we deserve and desire flow abundantly into our lives like a river does into a sea; all the glory be to the Universe (God).
