Writing is an Art. Treat It Like One.
There is no final destination. So enjoy the journey of being a writer while you can.

I’m trying to be a better writer with each passing day and each published article. How?
Although there are no fixed rules, below are the 6 steps I follow religiously:
Writing every day
There is a difference between writing every day and publishing every day. I create something new daily. You have to treat writing as an art. Like any other art form, “proper” practice will make you perfect.
Reading daily
If you don’t read, you can’t write. Take any genre of your choice and read books. Why books? Because the author had to go through months of struggle to write those 200 pages. Being a published author is tough. So, reading books will not only improve your vocabulary but will also widen your world. Your perspectives will change. You’ll look at everything with a third eye.
Knowing when and how to edit
First of all, separate each of the pre-planning, writing, and editing processes by at least a day. Writing is putting your thoughts on paper. Editing, on the other hand, is making your writings more readable and engaging. So, you can understand, editing is one of the crucial steps that separates good writers from the great.
Journaling
Note your thoughts down. We have a complex brain with complex beliefs. Demystifying them is the way we can understand ourselves better and bring our thoughts to life via our writings.
Joining a community of readers and writers
Reading and writing can be a lonely journey. Thus, helping other newbie writers will get you the support you need as well. The content you create is yours, but the journey doesn’t have to be all you. Ask for support. I’m sure you will get it.
Attending classes or workshops
There are both free and paid workshops available. If you can join a classroom program or a workshop led by a top author, you’ll gain valuable insights. Those insights may not be available on the internet for free.
What are your thoughts on this? How do you write? Do you follow something else?
Please share. I’m open to learning.
