Why Writing And Making Money Is So Big.

Over the last 5 years, the search term “making money” had an average of 22.2K United States searches per month. While "writing," had an average of 135K United States searches per month.

You can explore this with Google Trends, which is an excellent place to find search term ideas for your next article. But you might also want to use the “Keywords Everywhere” browser extension.

There has been a significant rise in United States searches for “writing” and “making money” since April 2022. Combining the search volume, that’s a consistent average of 157.2K United States visitors per month.

People who are actively looking for solutions around writing and making money online. If you are able to offer better solutions that actually work, this would be a good time to share them.

But 157.2K is just in the US, in my opinion, and from experience. I can only think that this rise in interest in writing and making money is a result of the financial damage suffered by many people.

We have just barely made it through a “Global Pandemic”, and many people lost their jobs. I too lost my job because I was retrenched as a result of the “Global Pandemic”.

Therefore, I had no choice. Writing and making money online was the best option I had. Thankfully, I already started in 2011 or 2012 somewhere, but it was no longer “just a hobby.” Things got very real, very quickly!

I think this may be the case with more people than we can imagine. We have all suffered damages, and we’re looking for ways to recover. Mostly, financially, and sadly so.

Personality And Knowledge For Recognition.

In my opinion, your content makes up 10% of the recognition process, and engagement the other 90%. Commenting, sharing, and liking other people’s content related to your niche.

Building an online “personality” is quite important, be it with writing, making money online, or any other topic. The “key” however, is to back your personality with knowledge.

The downside of gathering knowledge to compete at a professional level is that it takes time. While most people are in a bit of a hurry for a “quick” solution to financial difficulties.

This need is also, sadly, quite exploited by some online. There is no such thing as a “quick way out” of any financial situation unless you win the lottery. And we all know the odds of that.

Build your personality around offering solutions that work with writing and making money. Find content marketing strategies that work and share them, not sell them!

Your audience (US 157.2K per Month) will soon start recognizing you as a problem solver. When that happens, you will start building the kind of personality that gets recognized.

Be At The “Write” Party At The Right Time.

It’s as simple as “You cannot get recognized at a party if you’re not present and visible”. Engagement with your audience is what compliments your knowledge and personality best.

Being in the right place (or talking about the right topic) at the right time is what it comes down to. To be honest, I didn’t really plan this particular post, it just kind of happened.

Now I have already written about getting wrongfully banned on Quora, and how they apologized and reinstated my profile along with all my content.

It was an innocent mistake, and I carried on with Quora. After all, it is an excellent site to build recognition with your solutions. So, I decided to write a post on Quora about my experience.

It so happened that many professional writers on Quora at the time had similar experiences. As mentioned earlier, I didn’t plan on writing this at all.

Comments on the post started rolling in, and if that is not recognized then I don’t know what is. Recognition usually leads to profile visits, and that’s the whole point!

You have to “be at the party” within your niche. Find interesting topics to write about. Then share them with the right people at the right time, it works every time!

Mention people in your comments where the option is available, sometimes using the (@) sign with their names will provide a drop-down menu. Just select the right one.

Be actively involved as an online personality, get up, dress up, and show up, every day! Do the research, find the solutions, and approach your interested readers.

Offer advice, answers, and guidance. Like, comment, and share in return. You really must “be at the party”.

Never Expect Or Ask For Anything In Return.

When you offer solutions, don’t always make it about the money. Find and offer your own (free) solutions. When your solutions work, people will be more interested in your affiliate offer.

Help people with steps they don’t quite understand, offer solutions, advice, and guidance, and don’t ever expect anything in return. Recognition is earned, not requested.

There is a saying “You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you!” by John Bunyan, and I cannot agree more.

Get recognized as a problem solver, and you will have no need to expect anything. People will follow and become active on your content because you solve problems.

Or you write about a topic to which readers can relate, perhaps even have had personal experiences. Starting conversations is a great way to build recognition.
