Writers Will Soar in 2024

The year will be full of great content and there will be fun things to write about

The new year is right around the corner and it’s hard to believe it’s time to close the books on the current one.

Everything seems to be going faster as I get older. Science proved that recently, as in terms of our perception of the world, that we run out of truly unique experiences that are worthy of our attention.

This year was a pretty good one. It could have been better, but I sure learned a few important things. Most importantly, effort and discipline matter more than ever. You’ve got to do the work to get the results. You have to put in the time. And it helps to love what you are doing.

There will be plenty to write about in 2024 and that is why I think writers will soar, because a lot is going to happen. Maybe then time will slow down a bit so we can take a moment to understand what is going on.

Here are a few things you can write about in the coming year:

The United States Presidential Race

Oh, this is a big topic for sure and it’s going to be controversial. I know that politics is a great divider and people often have very strong opinions about their political parties and their presidential candidates.

You don’t have to take a specific side. In fact, some try to report the news as fairly and evenly as possible.

Will Donald Trump become president again? The answer to that could be the biggest news story of the year, at least here in the States. Buckle your safety belts, as this election is going to be a bumpy ride.

The 2024 Paris Summer Olympics

I am very excited about this event, mostly because I love sports and there is so much to watch during any summer Olympics.

Most likely your country will be involved in some way in terms of competition so you can always write about that, or the local reaction to their performances. Another idea is to focus on your country’s individual athletes and where they are from, what sport they are doing, and if they can meet or exceed their individual goals.

Yes, some countries will dominate certain sports but I can guarantee you that there will be upsets. A medal win can seriously impact an athlete’s life forever and help them prosper, and that is a wonderful story.

Financial Markets and Stocks

Things are pretty good in the stock market lately, here in December, so that is nice. But for me, it’s kind of like Santa Claus in the sense that I want to believe in the joy of it and the good things that come our way.

If there is a financial crisis or economic turmoil, you can always write about how it impacts you personally. It’s a life lesson, for sure, when it comes to investing or saving money, or when things go well or if they go south.

Taylor Swift

Well, yes, Ms. Taylor Swift is one of the most popular people on the planet so she is a good topic for your writing.

Did you go to a Taylor Swift concert? If so, I’m jealous, just so you know, but I do want to see your photos and read your written review.

Did you see her at a Kansas City football game? I’m envious that you somehow got Chiefs tickets and Taylor Swift waved and insisted on a selfie with you and your friend. Come on, post the photo and I will marvel at your luck in the world.

The year 2024 is coming rather quickly and will be here before you know it. Set some writing goals for the new year and push yourself harder than ever before. Show your discipline, dedication and determination. Resolve to have a spectacular year as a writer and go achieve everything that you can.
