Writers Thoughts That Change Your Mind
A lot of interesting stories captured in my mind
For the last two days, I have been very happy. Why you may ask. Well, only since the last two days the Illumination Chapters have been a delight for me.
I am an editor in this publication but I never got a chance to edit the chapters as other editors were more efficient and whenever I went to look at the drafts they were already published. For the last two days, I have been lucky to read and publish some chapters too.
The more I read, the greater the enjoyment. Writers' thoughts can change your mind. You may get many interesting and fresh new ideas. New Questions to add to your discussion list.
The chapters are excellent reading material with a lot of knowledge packed in and I learned so much from reading. You can get many answers to questions that you have not asked but thought of and it is possible to overcome certain hurdles too.
First of all, Illumination book chapters are so creative. Every author has beautiful book covers designed by them. This itself is a treat to the eye.
Today I edited and published a chapter from Philosophy of Life Instinct By Shashidhar Shastry. I should have read from the beginning and then commented but it was already chapter 13. I had not even read the chapter12 but after reading chapter 13 which was on Emotional Wisdom I am now compelled to read the whole book. I do hope I have become wiser at least emotionally.
It has deep philosophy and psychology in it. Why should we manage our emotions? How should the emotions be managed? Shashi has further elaborated the ways to improve emotional wisdom.
In the author’s words “ Life is one feeling after another, alone and with others. Imagine how much better our lives would be, the happiness we would have and spread if we could judge, understand and maintain our mental states and interactions competently, or even expertly.”
Do read this book. However, start by reading this chapter on Emotional Wisdom and enjoy the concept.
I read Chapter 6 The Therapist from his book and I was amazed at his talent in writing fiction. It felt real to me. Starting from the front cover that was designed so well the story begins with Roberts showing up at work feeling fresh after a shower. He ended the chapter with a baseball game. The range of experiences and activities was awesome to read.
Since it is fiction and I do not want to reveal the story, I would be happy if you read and enjoyed it. I am inserting the link for you to read.
3. Phil Rossi
I read chapter 4 of Jimmy Baseball. It starts with waiting for his mother and miss Piper was standing there and making snide remarks. The character in the chapter does not like this lady but she pops up everywhere.
In the author’s words “Mrs. Piper also had this uncanny craft to sneak up, say stuff, and make you feel like you swallowed from the wrong spoon. A blob of mercury comes to mind”.
Mrs. Piper asked him if he knew that the Fister boy was sick when he nodded a no she told him that he was too young to understand so probably nobody had told him.
A doubt came over his mind that was Jimmy Fister really sick? Read what happened to Jimmy Fister. You will love the story even if it takes another turn and Jimmy is an important or not important character you will soon find out.
The Cranesbill Chapter 7 Club Sandwich And A Coke, This chapter was as interesting as the beautiful illustration on top. The story begins with the platform of LaSalleStreet where the announcements were being made of the departure of trains. Mario D’Angelo and Ginger Martin were going together to a destination. They introduced each other.
This story is best read as to what happened in this meeting and who was the character by the name of Edwin in the chapter. What was his relationship with them?
I hope you will all give these stories some reading time. I assure you that you will have an amazing tea time and maybe carry on till dinner and get some family members in the fold. The more you discuss with people about the chapters the greater will be the interest to read more of the other interesting stories.
