Writers Block Is Annihilating Your Creativity — Here's How to Win The War
And get your creativity back.
Writer's block plagues many of us at one point or another. It can be frustrating, and it isn't easy to know how to get over it.
While there are many techniques you can try, I will outline some simple steps for you to take to get your creativity flowing again.
Relax
The first step to getting your creativity flowing is to relax. Think about the best time you've ever had in your life and try to remember what was on your mind. Chances are, you were relaxed and having fun.
When you're relaxed, it's easier for creative thoughts to flow more freely. You can use this exercise to turn off that pesky brain that likes to tell you things like "you're not good enough" or "what if they don't like it?"
If you want a little help getting started, try out some relaxation exercises: breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, taking a walk in nature, or anything else that calms your nerves.
Take notes
This might seem like a no-brainer, but taking notes can help you get over your writer's block. Try to take notes on anything that sparks an idea for you, even if it's just a few sentences.
You may be able to come up with an entire story or poem the next day when you review what you wrote.
Read something new
There are many ways to get your creative juices flowing.
One of the best solutions that are often overlooked is reading something new. This can be anything from a book or even an article about the business.
If you find yourself struggling for ideas, try reading something new, and you'll see your brain begin to work again!
