Abstract

e me the idea, is to use the image above to “inspire” you. You don’t necessarily have to describe “what’s happening” in the picture above; it can guide you to something perhaps altogether different. I tried to pick an image that has some disparate elements (nature/civilization, etc.), to give you a fairly broad opportunity to express what you feel/are led to. There’s no subject or idea that I’m limiting you to for this one. The only requirement is to let this image inspire something, and that you use it as the piece’s image. As always, if you hate it…well, next week will be different again! Tag me in it (<a href="undefined">J.D. Prompt:

All of you know, or should know by now, that I am mildly (ha! you’re so kind…) obsessed with images. Frequently, my brain will generate some picture, and I’m being more or less literal here, sometimes cobbled out of memory, sometimes just a flash of some je n’ sais quoi…and that will be enough to get the flood of words to flow. Yes, don’t you love how specific I am right now. You all know, as well, that I tend to let abstract images head up my pieces. That’s partially guided by laziness (yes, I publish too much); but I also adore finding something simply that connects with how I feel in a given piece. This way I increase the connection/disconnect that I love so much.

At any rate, today’s prompt, with a suitable hat tip towards my friend and co-editor, Zay Pareltheon, who gave me the idea, is to use the image above to “inspire” you. Tag me in it (J.D. Harms) and let the words roll on!
