Write Something Profound
This is the Best Way to Grow Your Audience

Write something profound. Who knows what is profound to someone else? Is it a topic in the news today? Is it something someone said a while ago?
Where were you when these events happened? Elian Gonzales was kidnapped by his dad. The Challenger Space Shuttle Blew Up. The Racecar driver died on the track.
Name 15 events you can name where you were when the event happened. Michael Jackson died. Vietnam ended. Nixon resigned. Obama was elected and reelected. Ketanji Brown Jackson was selected to the Supreme Court of the United States — ok, well that hasn’t happened as of yet, but you will remember where you were when this takes place. Here’s a starter list:
1. Elian Gonzales kidnapped by his dad
2. The Challenger Space Shuttle Blew Up
3. The Racecar driver Dale Earnhardt died
4. Michael Jackson died
5. Vietnam ended

How we select our topics is just as important as the topics we select. The point here is there are events happening in our daily lives that are worth hearing your perspective on. Some of these events shape our thoughts on how we interact with others in our society.
You have the ability to explain why we do what we do and why we react to things the way we do. That’s the power of writing. But when you take on this responsibility, just know there is power in your fingertips.
We want to learn what your thoughts are on the matters taking place around the world. You’ve got the power. Write something profound. We are waiting.
