Peace, Love & Crappiness is a new publication that I hope will help me, and friends of the publication, grow as writers. Follow us here.
The initial idea was to have only completely positive stories. I was thinking along the lines of peace, love, and happiness, but it didn’t sit right.
Why?
Because real life is not completely positive. We need dark so that we can see the light. And so the name Peace, Love & Crappiness landed in my head.

What kind of stories will you find here?
The subject matter is completely open. Don’t let the word “crappiness” fool you: this is not a place for moaning. The only stipulation is that stories will acknowledge difficulties to show that it is possible to overcome them and achieve success, no matter how big or small. For example, we all root for an underdog, don’t we? We all love a happy ending. Happy endings are only possible with some difficulties along the way.
The 3 essential ingredients for stories in this publication are:
Authenticity — unique voices. No plagiarism or AI-generated articles. Let’s be real. Let’s show ourselves.
Creativity — Show us your art! I draw the line at clickbait. Stories about gaining X amount of followers or making X amount of money will not be accepted. There’s a place for them elsewhere on Medium. Be authentic, be creative. Let’s hear your real voice.
Balance — The overall feel of this publication is positive. Acknowledge challenges and difficulties, because they do exist. However, they are fleeting. We can overcome them and we can show others that it’s possible.
Anything is possible.

Grammar, spelling, and formatting
We all make mistakes. None of us are perfect. However, please take care to ensure your story is edited to as close to perfection as it’s possible to achieve. As a proofreader, I cannot abide by badly constructed writing and it is likely to lead to rejection.
Images
Please only use photos from Unsplash, personal photographs, or anything you have created yourself (i.e. with Canva). No AI-generated images will be accepted.
If you are using your photographs, please make this clear. For example, “photo by the author” or “photo by (insert your name)”.

Please tag the publication and help us grow. The ampersand (&) doesn’t work so it would be best to use Peace Love Crappiness as the tag, per the screenshot below:
