Write for The Pink
The Pink’s mission is to Empower One and Educate Everyone. Join the community!

Please read the whole article before filling the form.
Introduction:
We are a team of feminists who believe in empowering and uplifting others.
We take submissions from diverse writers, aspiring, and experts. You don’t have to be an industry expert to write for us. We are looking for writers (with a Medium Account) who can present a fresh perspective and move our readers to challenge the thoughts so they can empower and educate others.
Basically, your work needs to be able to Empower someone and Educate the readers about something.
Our works focus on Activism, Equality and Social Movements to Personal Experience articles on Relationships, Work, Mental Health, etc.
What you need to apply:
- A Medium Account.
- An Unpublished Draft. It should not have been published before or in any other Medium Publication. We have stopped accepting Published Articles because the Publication Page will only show the latest articles. So, if your published piece dates back to a week, even five days, chances are that it won’t even show up on the Publication’s main page.
- A brilliant, clever perspective that doesn’t offend any community.
- Content that isn’t plagiarised. Try to use images from Unsplash, Pexels, etc. and add a link to the image in the caption. We can also change the image if we want but we’ll let you know.
- The word limit is at least 600 words. We need a piece that reads for at least 3 minutes.
- An article that empowers and/or educates the readers.
What we are looking for:
We have various themes you can write under, for this, you can check out our main publication page. Moreover, we are looking for:
- Non-Fiction Article.
- Poetry. Word limit to be at least 200 words.
- Personal Stories, serious or humorous.
- Listicles.
Our selections are broad and not dedicated to a specific niche so let yourself write freely.
The Type of Content we require:
We publish content under a broad range of topics, from Mental Health to Relationships to Equality. When we say we are looking for personal stories, we ask you to write a piece that can help the reader learn something.
For instance, if you’re writing a personal story about how your High School slut-shamed you and your fellow classmates on a regular basis, use the personal story as an example of the generalized point you’re are explaining, not as the whole article.
Don’t make it a read like a journal entry or a personalized account in a day of your life because, in the end, we are trying to relate to the audience, to open a dialogue, and not just to leave it as a personal monologue.
In short, we publish content that stimulates our readers to think or perceive something in a different light, a light that is to be put on a certain topic by the writer.
Our Formatting Guidelines:
For our articles, we go by this article as the definitive Formatting Guideline for all the content that we publish.
Refer to this article before submitting your work. It’ll also improve your chance of getting curated on Medium.
Now that you’re done writing, what’s next?
This point is important. We prefer running down your article through free Grammarly scrutiny. It can be added as a chrome extension for your Medium Draft. Keep the grammatical and spelling errors at a minimum before submitting the article. Please, make sure that your grammatical errors are at the least. We can edit your piece and even provide some notes of improvement but try to keep errors at a minimum before hitting Submit.
Follow the publication and leave a response “I’d like to write for The Pink”. You can also follow our editors for better networking on Medium. The Pink is a tight-knit community of writers looking to uplift and support each other’s work.
The next step is to apply for the Writer position on this form.
What comes after filling this form?
You’ll be added as a writer in 3–5 days or early. After this, you can add unpublished pieces written by you to The Pink. The article will then be reviewed, selected, or rejected. If the article needs to be improved upon more, or if the article is rejected, our editors will leave a message on the draft.
We can make a few grammatical, formatting, or other changes so that the article has a better chance of getting curated by Medium. The Writer will be notified of the changes.
If the article is selected, it’ll simply appear on our page. Congratulations!
What’s in it for the Writers?
In order to make The Pink’s community more inclusive and welcoming, we are doing away with the previous role of Official Writer.
Everyone will be added as a Writer and will enjoy the same privileges as an Official Writer, without having to contribute one article per week!

As stated earlier, we are a tightly-knit community of writers who support each other. As a Writer, you’ll be working straight with our owner and editors and your work will feature according to the quality of your submissions and the perspectives you add. You’ll be added to our Slack Workplace (a workplace communication channel) for networking and discussing work projects and articles and for regular announcements. We appreciate and value everyone who decides to contribute to our vision.
As an added token, a Badge of our publication will be added to your display picture which you can put on your Medium account.
If you want to be our Writer, fill the form accordingly and we’ll send you our Slack Invite through email in the next 3–5 days.
Happy Writing!
