Please read the guidelines carefully before submitting your stories to us

This publication is a dream come true for three writers passionate about short stories about day-to-day real-life encounters or discoveries about the mundane.

We are mothers, sisters, women, and wives who love writing and promoting kindness through our stories.

Our writing culture

• We notice details and like to make up stories about anything. We also like to find kindness and messages to teach through our stories.
• Writers who embody our culture will fit best with the Simple Story Seekers Publication.
• If you have a problem, question, or any issue, please get in touch at [email protected].
• Please support our writers by tagging and highlighting two other SSS writers’ works you have genuinely read at the bottom of your post.
• Being part of our community means also genuinely contributing by reading and engaging with other writers’ works when you publish yours.

We are accepting submissions!

The editors are now accepting submissions for the “Simple Story Seekers” publication.

We’re accepting all topics. Stories should be short forms of a maximum of 3 minutes.

We are looking forward to reading your:

• personal everyday stories
• simple challenges you have encountered
• anything that has inspired you to be kinder and to live life mindfully.

>> We do NOT publish AI-generated stories.

If you would like to become a writer for our Medium publication, then you’ll need to:

1. Set up a Medium account with a unique username.
2. Become a paying member; we only accept writers with paid membership.
3. Follow our publication, the owner of this pub (Gabriela Trofin-Tatár), and my awesome editors (Amir Bibi and Ainy Abraham).
4. Leave a comment below, include your username (@_______), and request writer status with our publication. You will be added as soon as possible.
5. Write a story you would like to publish with us and save it as a draft.
6. Add your draft to Simple Story Seekers publication

In case we haven’t added you quickly, you can email us anytime with your Medium account information and your request to be added as a writer. Send your email to [email protected]

Submissions checklist

1. Write your draft and check it with Grammarly before submission. Leave it unpublished. We might accept self-published stories if they fit our publication.
2. Make sure the story type fits within Our Guidelines.
3. Add suitable tags to your story (SimpleStorySeekers must be one of the five).
4. Ensure the formating matches Medium rules.
5. Click the options on the top right and select ‘Add to Publication’.
6. Add it to Simple Story Seekers.
