Such wisdom comes from many sources, including philosophy, religion, and common sense. If you have experience in life, chances are you have gathered some pragmatic wisdom. Why not share it?

What Pragmatic Wisdom Publishes

Pragmatic Wisdom publishes lessons and thoughts about how to thrive in life.

  • This includes all the different ways people have found happiness and satisfaction in their lives.
  • Whether your angle is Stoicism, Pragmatism, Hedonism, or just plain common sense, the common thread will be that you’ve learned something about how to live well.

We do not wish to publish AI-generated stories. We may require contributors to confirm that they will not submit such stories. We’ll remove violators without notice.

If you have learned some lessons on how life works and why, you can write for Pragmatic Wisdom. Simply leave a comment here saying you’d like to become a writer.

How to Prepare Your Draft Article

  1. A clear idea, compellingly told. Clean presentation. Ask yourself how what you are writing will potentially help the reader.
  2. See Ten Formatting Tips for the basic rules you must follow. This explains how to format your Title, Subtitle, and images, and gives guidance on structuring your article, including subheadings.

How to Submit Your Completed Draft to Pragmatic Wisdom

  1. Make sure your submission is unpublished on Medium.
  2. Meter your submission so that you are eligible to receive compensation through Medium’s Partner Program. The MPP is the only way you’ll be paid as a Pragmatic Wisdom writer.
  3. Include five tags in your submission, one of which should be Pragmatic Wisdom. See Explore Tags for an overview of common high-level tags. — Likely potential tags include Self Improvement, Life Lessons, Self-Awareness, Mindfulness, Culture, Philosophy, or Stoicism
