Write For “Deconstructing Christianity”

I Can’t Wait To See Your Articles

The Christian religion is the largest religion in the world. As the largest religion, it holds immense power.

Religious leaders from it have many times become politicians and rulers. Laws have been based off of it. Cultures have been changed from it. It has effected all of us.

It’s so ingrained in our culture that sometimes you just need to take a step away from it and look at it more objectively and critically. That’s where “Deconstructing Christianity” comes in.

It’s a place for people to heal from religious trauma and separate themselves from a religion ingrained into them by society and often their parents.

Originally, my publication was invite only, but now that I’ve had a lot of success with my left wing political publication, “The Left Is Right”, I want to open this one, too, to new authors.

You only need to follow a few simple rules:

1. You don’t have to be an atheist to write for this publication or even sure where you are going to land on religion. Just understand that the focus is on Deconstructing Christianity and not converting people to it, so submit articles that fit the theme.
2. Because I’m an atheist, I do want this publication to lean in that direction, even if it’s not focused on it, so feel free to submit articles about atheist ideas, the atheist point of view, and atheist life.
3. Satire is welcome and encouraged.
4. I need you to use coherent grammar and spelling. It doesn’t have to be perfect and I will edit the article for you some for typos. Just do the best you can.
5. Be willing to take edits from me and make corrections if I ask. I’m nice generally and won’t ask for much.
6. Understand that I can reject an article at any time, but I will only do so if it genuinely doesn’t fit the publication.
7. Your articles must follow Medium rules. We are to be critical (very critical even) but not necessarily hateful if that makes sense, even though Christians will view all of it as hate. Actual hate, in my opinion, would be things like threatening violence or promoting violence towards Christians.
8. I love reading personal stories, philosophical thoughts, and opinion pieces. News stories are also welcome as long as they apply.
9. I’ll try to approve all your stories within 48 hours. I usually do this, although sometimes, rarely, life gets in the way. Please be patient with me as I’m the only one running this.
10. Only submit articles that are drafts.
11. Make sure you have private notes on so I can communicate with you.
12. Please follow the publication as well, so we can all support each other and our articles.
