What Career Paths Publishes
Career Paths publishes high-quality advice and thoughts about how to have a successful career.
- This includes all the different ways people have found success in the pursuit of their work.
- We’re also interested in hearing about the many ways people define success. Your successful career might not be the same as anyone else's.
We do not wish to publish AI-generated stories. We may require contributors to confirm that they will not submit such stories. We’ll remove violators without notice.

If you have something to say about succeeding in your work, you can write for Career Paths. Simply leave a comment here saying you’d like to become a writer.

How to Prepare Your Draft Article
- A clear idea, compellingly told. Clean presentation. Ask yourself how what you are writing will potentially help the reader.
- See Ten Formatting Tips for the basic rules you must follow. This explains how to format your Title, Subtitle, and images, and gives guidance on structuring your article, including subheadings.
How to Submit Your Completed Draft to Career Paths
- Make sure your submission is unpublished on Medium.
- Meter your submission so that you are eligible to receive compensation through Medium’s Partner Program. The MPP is the only way you’ll be paid as a Career Paths writer.
- Include five tags in your submission. See Explore Tags for an overview of common high-level tags. — Likely potential tags include Business, Career Advice, Leadership, Self Improvement, Goal Setting, Time Management, Work Life Balance, or Productivity.
