Write Articles Twice As Fast With These 5 Jasper AI Commands
I use them every day on my portfolio of websites

If you’ve read my other articles, you know how much I love the Jasper AI Writer (not an affiliate link).
However, the impressive content generator comes with a learning curve. You need to know how to maximize outputs so that you don’t waste credits (and money).
A common question in the Jasper Facebook community is, “What commands do you use to write better and faster?”
In this article, I’m going to share my 5 favorite Jasper AI commands.
They help me write blog posts twice as fast — and sometimes faster.
1) Give Me a Long List of XYZ
I’m a big fan of the Jasper AI command, “Give Me a Long List of XYZ.”
I find it incredibly useful for rapidly outlining my articles, creating bulleted lists, and coming up with subheaders. I then plug each item in the generated list into the Paragraph Tool or Long form Document tool in Jasper.
Here are examples of how I might use this command:
- Give me a long list of ways to start a garden
- Give me a long list of benefits of running
- Give me a long list of pros and cons of using coupons
The results are usually pretty damn good, and I often find myself surprised at how well the AI understands my unique needs.
I think the main reason I like this command so much is that it saves me a lot of time. Outlining an article can be a tedious and time-consuming task, but with Jasper, I can get it done in just a few minutes.
Additionally, the lists generated by Jasper are often better than anything I could come up with on my own.
This is likely due to the fact that Jasper is able to tap into a vast database of knowledge and information. As a result, Jasper can quickly come up with creative and original ideas that I wouldn’t have thought of myself.
2) Write a Long Explanation of XYZ
One of the reasons I love the Jasper AI command “Write a Long Explanation of XYZ” is that it helps me to get longer output quickly.
This is especially useful when I am writing articles, as it allows me to create content twice as fast. In addition, the longer output provides more detail and information than shorter outputs, making it more useful and informative.
The command is extremely flexible.
Whether I need a long explanation of a concept or a detailed description of a product, Jasper AI always delivers. As a result, “Write a Long Explanation of XYZ” has become one of my go-to commands, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get more out of their Jasper AI experience.
3) Use Multiple Paragraphs
One of the best things about Jasper is that you can always count on him to produce high-quality output.
However, there are times when I need more than what he typically produces.
That’s when I use the “use multiple paragraphs” command.
This command tells Jasper to use multiple paragraphs in his response, and it usually doubles the length of his output. I’ve found that this is often just the right amount of material.
It’s enough to get the creative juices flowing, but not so much that it becomes overwhelming.
4) Don’t Talk About XYZ
I often use the Jasper AI command, “Don’t Talk About XYZ.”
This helps Jasper to focus on a specific topic and avoid including information that I’m not ready to share yet with my readers.
For example, if I’m writing an introduction to an article about picking dog breeds, I might say, “Don’t talk about any specifics” so Jasper doesn’t include any information about specific breeds in his output.
Or if I’m creating a video about how to run like a ninja, I might say, “Don’t talk about any other types of running” so that Jasper only includes information about running like a ninja and doesn’t mention any other types of running.
This helps me to create more focused and targeted content that is more likely to engage and interest my readers.
5) Only Focus On XYZ
Another Jasper AI command I use daily is, “Only Focus On XYZ.”
I find that this helps me write clear chunks of information that make sense on the page.
For instance, if I’m writing a section on the history of the United States, I might ask Jasper to focus on only one event per paragraph.
This ensures that each paragraph is focused and easy to read.
Additionally, it helps me to stay on track while I’m writing, as I’m not tempted to include extraneous information.
How I Put All of These Commands Together
I typically start by asking for a list of ideas, then plug each generated item on the list into the Paragraph Tool in Jasper.
In practice, I combine several of these commands together.
It might look something like this:
Write a long explanation about XYZ. Use multiple paragraphs. Only talk about XYZ. Don’t talk about XYX.
The commands don’t work 100% of the time.
However, they work consistently enough that I use them for nearly all of my articles on my suite of websites.
It’s also important to note that I always:
- Do my own topic of keyword research
- Fact check all the content
- Run all of the content through a plagiarism checker (never had any issues)
- Edit the content
- Add in my personal voice, personality, and writing style
- Include original research
Example Outputs from Jasper
I thought it might be helpful to include an example output from Jasper.
For this example, I used this exact command brief:
Write a long explanation of why you should invest in a unicorn farm. Use multiple paragraphs to explain.
And here is the fun output from Jasper:
There are many reasons why you should invest in a unicorn farm.
For one, unicorns are an increasingly popular target for investors. In recent years, unicorn sightings have been on the rise, and as a result, there has been a corresponding increase in demand for unicorn products and services.
This includes everything from Unicorn rides to magical horn dust. As such, investing in a unicorn farm now could be a wise financial move.
In addition to being a sound investment, owning a unicorn farm would also be a lot of fun. Imagine being able to frolic among these magical creatures every day. It would be an experience like no other.
Not to mention, the unicorn farm would be a great place to host parties and events. Just think of all the possibilities!
If you’re looking for a unique investment opportunity that also has the potential to be immensely enjoyable, then look no further than a unicorn farm. You won’t regret it.
That’s 162 words generated in mere seconds.
Do that 9 more times and you get a 1,000+ word article in 10 minutes or less. You’ll still need to work your editing magic.
But this exact process is making me thousands of dollars per month.
