Write A Bio That Is The Cat’s Meow
This is what should go into your professional bio and why

Here’s what you do to create professional bio that creates an emotional connection:
1) Write a one-sentence statement that details the idea or goal you are personally committed to solving (e.g., promoting higher education for single moms, the eradication of infectious diseases, helping immigrants navigate U.S. resettlement processes, etc.) This statement should have active verbs that say how your commitment relates to the people that you are trying to help. (e.g., engage or empower them.)
2) Write one short paragraph for EACH of your top three accomplishments as a PR professional. Write why these accomplishment matter and why they matter. Also include information that quantifies the impact of each accomplishment. How many people did you help? How much money did you save? You should provide enough information so readers know who you were working for at the time of your accomplishment and the of your employer.
3) Write a one-sentence statement that provides context on what type of leader you are, what you enjoy doing, who you enjoy doing it for, and what your work enables them to do that they wouldn’t be able to do without your help.
Meld these three elements into two or three succinct paragraphs. If your PR bio runs longer than half a page, then you’re just done bad PR for yourself. Make your PR bio short and sweet.
