Workplace Toxicity
A poem
A toxic workplace environment creates havoc on the mental health of the employees. Toxicity extends from the workplace, affecting the private lives of the families. Consistent discomfort to deal with self-proclaimed despotic behaviour saps energy. Stamina to survive an incessant negative environment weakens the mental aptitude.
The mental health pandemic is brimming and boiling to spoil everyone’s mental equilibrium. Insanity only delivers madness and eviscerates even the modicum of civility. Rigorous evaluation of the mental health of all managerial/leadership positions should be mandated. How long will the trend continue to serve the naked greed of the one percent? What else is there left to be sacrificed after mental health?

There are many high-profile cases of toxic workplace environments covered viciously in the press. The latest example of a leader falling from grace is Julie Payette, Canada’s governor-general, who had to resign in the wake of damning workplace allegations.
