Summary

The text is a reflective piece on the author's struggle to let go of their passionate drive for humanity, detailing an intense personal journey.

Abstract

The author describes a profound personal struggle in which they worked tirelessly to suppress their deep-seated passion for humanity. Despite efforts to detach from this passion, it persisted, coursing through their veins. The author sought solace in solitude, finding unexpected comfort in isolation, yet felt rebuked by a higher power for their detachment. The journey is depicted as a solitary trek through life's vastness, where the author's identity and connection to humanity became obscured. The piece concludes with the author's realization of their life's purpose, which is to serve humanity, promote peace, and share love, despite the challenges of this calling.

Opinions

  • The author initially attempted to restrain their passion for humanity, suggesting a desire for peace and tranquility over the tumult of deep emotional investment.
  • There is a sense of resignation as the author acknowledges the futility of resisting their passion, indicating that it is an intrinsic part of their being.
  • The author's journey into isolation is portrayed as a form of self-imposed exile, reflecting a complex relationship with their own altruistic nature.
  • The mention of "Christ laughed at me" implies a perceived divine judgment or misunderstanding of the author's attempts to distance themselves from their passion.
  • The author's life motto, emphasizing service to humanity, peace, and love, is presented as a hard-won realization and acceptance of their true calling.
  • The text suggests that the author's passion, while overwhelming, is a fundamental aspect of their identity and purpose, which they ultimately embrace.

Work to let go of my Passion

I worked hard to compose myself Every time I tried to knot tightly my thoughts of peace But, It unclasped more & more It didn’t work, I can’t retard to this passion Passion runs in my veins, yet Passion for humanity I wanted to forget, I ran a far alone I started to enjoy the desert more than heaven After seeing my barbarism, “Christ laughed at me” Did I expect beyond the limits? I tracked my life I ran to death’s angel I concealed to rain I collided the breezes I forgot having a heart The nights and days The thoughts and dreams like a vagabond — I traveled alone I worked hard to compose myself!
