Your lies sever
Wounded, time Orates Redemption’s pleas. Destitute, your lies Sever love’s ties.
Tales and rendezvous Haunt passion’s dance Alluding To yesterday’s tryst.
Burning flesh Underestimates hate’s Reign. Powerless, I Now question Everything you say and Do.

Saponi (American Indian)
This is an Acrostic poem. Acrostic come from the late Greek akrostichon. It is a form of ABC/Abecedarian poem which spells out names or words through the first letter of each line. The intent is to reveal while attempting to conceal within the poem. They may also spell out the letters of the alphabet (in order).
