Words That Aren’t Supposed To Be Said, But Need To Be
When the right moment doesn’t exist
December 20, Saturday. Antonio. End of the year speech:
“If there’s one thing in my life I can’t stand, it’s to say what I don’t mean to say. We might not want to hear what needs to be said; we might wait for the right time. The right time will never come. We gather tonight to reflect on the past year and to hope for the upcoming one, so let’s use precise words! Instead of the big words that don’t mean anything. Thank you! Cheers!”
Antonio maintains eye contact with his audience.
JF Danskin, thank you for the challenge on “A Drabble Challenge for Authors.” This is my first drabble, ever!! One hundred words, so precise, the exercise to teach me to say with clarity. I enjoyed it to the fullest. I applied your prompt idea 7 in “11 Mood-Related Writing Prompts.”
My deepest gratitude! That’s what a community is about, pushing each other to be better!
