Words can Change the World
A poetry
Open your minds, people hear me out Fourth of July becomes a monster without a doubt A dark sky with bright lights, it has no hold But what is the meaning behind the fireworks, untold
Words can change the world, but what do they mean Innocent children cry and families can’t be seen Wars created, lives taken too soon What did these words do, but leave a world in ruin
But words have power, they can plant a seed Nurture it with love, and let it grow to its need A seed of peace, kindness, and unity A world where all can live in tranquility
Change can start with a simple word A ripple effect, a message heard From one voice, to a thousand more Words can open hearts and close the door to war
A poet’s pen has no weapon but ink But in it lies the power to make hearts think Think of love, think of hope, think of change For words can reach far and wide, they never age
Let’s use our words to build, not destroy To spread love and kindness, not anger and ploy For words can shape the future we see A world of harmony and peace, where all can be free
So let us choose our words with care For they hold the key, to a world that’s fair Let them unite us, and heal all that’s torn For words can truly change the world, when they are born.
