Words Are Not Enough
Poetry prompt: What is your relationship with technology?
Dear Technology,
My relationship with you Born out of necessity Not always pretty Mostly reliable Sometimes sketchy Always with fascination Confusing yet indispensable Maybe we agree sometimes mutual respect and admiration yet I think we both can agree for a room for improvements Harsh words exchanged yet tender moments too I am grateful to you Though it’s fair to say I don’t fully “get” you Words do not suffice Just like this poem It’s hard to describe
Let’s just say: It’s complicated:)
Sincerely, Yours truly
Thank you, Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她), for the prompt: What is your relationship with technology? I had saved this prompt to attempt, but as soon I finished this piece I realized it was in fact a short form prompt — nonetheless, here is what I came up with. A huge Thank you to Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) for providing it home at TBiN.
Thank you for reading!
