Two women, one trying to take a cool picture and the other attempting to eat an octopus alive on a live stream, were severely bitten by the octopuses they were handling.
Abstract
The article discusses two incidents involving women who were bitten by octopuses. The first incident involved a woman who put a live octopus on her face for a photo contest and ended up getting bitten. She waited two days before seeking medical attention, resulting in severe infection and swelling. The second incident involved a Chinese vlogger who was attempting to eat an octopus alive on her live stream. The octopus latched onto her face and ripped her skin, causing a significant injury. Both incidents highlight the dangers of handling wild animals and the unpredictability of their behavior.

LIFE LESSONS
Woman and Girl Severely Bitten by Putting a Live Octopus on Their Faces
One was trying to take a cool picture with it draped on her face and the other was trying to eat the octopus alive on live stream
Right after she put the octopus on her face, it sucked onto her face and bit her hard on the chin.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, she waited before going to the emergency room, even though it was excruciatingly painful, and bled for 30 minutes the first day.
What? The “first day”?
Yes, that’s right. She waited for two days to go to the hospital!
By then she was having trouble swallowing and her face swelled up really bad as well as her throat and arms. She could have smothered with a swollen throat and no telling what type of toxins were swimming around in her bloodstream.
It turned out that she had a severe infection from the bite — YOU THINK?
Doctors put her on antibiotics but said the swelling may not go away for months!
The body of an octopus is boneless but they have hard beaks, which is something I never knew. Who would have thought an octopus would have a beak?
It turns out that the beak of an octopus is made of the same substance as the exoskeletons of insects, spiders, and crustaceans (crabs, lobsters, etc.), embedded in strong muscle tissue. The octopus uses this beak and its tongue like a drill to break through the shells of its prey.
So the beak is pretty powerful, which is why it hurt so much when it bit the woman through the chin.
Next!
So this girl was actually trying to EAT an octopus ALIVE on her live stream.
Are you kidding me? I mean…really?
Maybe she’s eaten a live octopus before, who knows.
But the thing grabbed a hold of her face with its suction cups, ripped a hole in her face, and almost pulled her eye off.
Watch her whole ordeal. It’s almost comical but really scary, if you ask me.
Apparently, this girl is a well-known Chinese vlogger and was attempting to live-stream herself eating an octopus alive, when it latched onto her face and hung on for dear life, ripping her skin and almost her eyelid in the process.
This is just soooooooo STUPID!
But what’s even worse, she says that she will just eat it in the next video like, ‘Well, better luck next time.’
People in her comments were condemning her for doing this and saying that she deserved what she got. I tend to agree.
Discussion
Listen, I have absolutely no sympathy for people that deliberately do things that they should know better than to do when it comes to playing around with wild animals.
Animals are unpredictable and often dangerous, even if they seem to be relatively harmless. People may think that an octopus is just something that’s limp and crawly with a rather docile nature about it.
But, hello! Wake up!
They have survival instincts just like any other creature as well as built-in protection and self-preservation mechanisms.
And it’s not that the animals are being malicious. They’re just being what they are, and that can spell danger to humans for messing around with them when they should not be. It’s just cruel to the animals, especially when they’re killed for attacking somebody who intentionally put themselves in harm's way with the animals.
That is just not right.
