You were a river and I a desert. Only you could quench my eternal thirst.

You became my spring while I was stuck in autumn. You helped me crawl up when I hit bottom.

You stayed with me when I had no money. Laughed with me even when my jokes weren’t funny.

You gave me hope when I was lost. You ensured I stayed sane no matter the cost.

You stood with me when I was alone. In those days when nobody would pick up my phone.

You didn’t leave me when I became insane. Travelled with me in the heat and when it rained.

You put the light in me when I was going dark. You were the only one who could see my spark.

Because of you in my life joy runs rife. And, I’d be lost without you, my dear wife.
