Note from Liberty: For those of you who might not be aware, Witchy ran a little contest for our Pub Family in the “newsletterish.” She is learning Tarot (and I use the term, “learning,” loosely) and offered ten free readings — which later became 11.

There were a lot of entries! Sara Burdick is one of the lucky (?) winners!

Witchy doesn’t have her own Medium account (the idea of having one terrifies her, as do most things) so she is using mine.

Hi, Sara! I tried really hard to focus on getting a good card for you! I wanted to do my very best!

So I squeezed my eyes shut and thought about you while I shuffled and picked out a card.

When I opened my eyes, I saw the 2 of Cups (the photo above). I concentrated on the card for a long time and here is the message that finally came to me:

“Aw, c’mon, Brian, you’re not gonna make me do that lame thing where we’re supposed to loop our arms and take a drink, are you?:

“Uh…I guess…not…?”

“Honestly, Brian. You’re such a girl.”

I do not know if you are in a relationship right now, so I am not sure what this might mean for you.

Do not ask your partner to do lame stuff?

Be nice when your partner asks you to do lame stuff?

Looping arms when you take a drink might make you spill it?

Whatever it means, it did not feel very good. I think she is mad at Brian. Or maybe not. Maybe she always sounds like that. Maybe Brian is a pinhead like my awful ex-boyfriend, Vladimir the 712-year-old Vampire. I should have known better than to date someone younger.

Anyway, maybe something is wrong between Brian and Grumpy Girl?

I closed my eyes and pulled out another card for you:

Oh, boy. This one looked scary! I asked the card what the message was and after thinking, thinking, thinking, this is what I got:

“Okay, darling, this isn’t fun anymore. Come on, honey, get me down! Uh, Linda, where are you go — wait a minute! What are you doing with my car keys? Hey! Come back here! Linda! Linda!”

Oh, dear.

Let’s see…what could this mean?

Oh! I know! Maybe Linda went out for ice cream.🍦

Maybe she was mad at him 😠 and he did not notice. 🙈

Maybe she was mad at him and tried to talk to him but he did not listen. 🙉

Maybe he likes scary games. And Linda forgot the rules.

Maybe Linda is a mean girl. 😳 😈

The Most Important Part:

If you are mad about something, don’t pretend it’s about a lame thing.
If you are mad at someone, say it. Nicely.
If you go out for ice cream, ask your friend if he wants some, too.
If you feel like something is wrong or your friend is mad, ask.
When someone is upset, listen. With both of your ears. 👂👂And your heart, too. ❤️
Maybe scary games are not a good idea.
Make sure you know the rules before you play a game.
Do not leave your boyfriend hanging upside down.
