Witchy’s (Highly Questionable) Tarot Reading About Sneaky “Somethings” That Might Not Be Good for You
And how to avoid more of them
Note from Liberty: For those of you who might not be aware, recently Witchy ran a little contest in our Pub Family newsletter. Hello, Raine! I am excited to do a Tarot reading for you. I have been studying hard, trying to learn how to read the stories in the cards. I hope I do a good job for you!
I did everything Liberty showed me. I closed my eyes and asked the cards a question in the way she taught me to do it. The first one I pulled out of the deck was the Ace of Cups. Isn’t it pretty? I love that blue!
Hmm. Maybe that’s because I am almost the same colour.
Anyway, I squeezed my eyes shut and tried to get a message for you from this card. And oh, boy! I got a really good one! Are you ready? Here it is:
If a big hand comes out of the sky and offers you a drink, it’s probably best to pass if it’s got a bird in it.

To add more information to your reading, I drew a second card. This is what it was:
It’s the 10 of Cups! Oooo a rainbow! I love rainbows! But I’ve never seen one coming out of a cup before! I wish I had thought of doing that in the Transylvania Forest before all my spells went wonky. I could have had a cup of rainbow every day!
Anyway, back to your reading. I concentrated as hard as I could to get a message from this card, and here is what it said:
When you go to a bar, never let a strange man get your glass of wine because he might slip something in it. Like a rainbow and nine other cups of wine.
I guess a rainbow in your drink might be nice. But nine more drinks you don’t know about could be a problem.
Sometimes, it can be nice if people give you something you weren’t expecting. As long as it’s a “something” that is good for you. This includes the “somethings” they say or do to you.
But some of those surprises are not nice. Some surprises feel bad. Some surprises are supposed to hurt you.
When people give you those kinds of surprises, it’s time to find new people.
I do not mean the little kinds of surprises that sometimes hurt or feel bad. Sometimes, even nice people can do something that is not so good. Those people will say they are sorry. And they will try not to do it again. Those are not the “somethings” I am talking about.
If the “somethings” are hurting you a lot, and if the “I’m sorrys” do not stop the “somethings” from happening, it is time to find people who will give you good “somethings.” Like good words. And lots of hugs. I love hugs. Don’t you?
Oh, boy! I am getting so good at this! Maybe someday, I will be able to do these the way Liberty does Tarot readings!
The Most Important Part:
- Do not drink from a cup with a bird in it. Even if you know who is on the other end of the hand.
- If someone slips a rainbow in your drink, do not assume the rainbow is good for you. Sometimes, things can look nice but they are not. It is the same with people.
- If people give you something that feels bad or hurts you, and it keeps happening, get new people.
