witch
a poem
he asked me are you a witch? and I laughed most merrily
oh no, I said as I gathered some herbs for tea and made fire water
not me, said I as cats my familiars come from all four corners to watch me, befriend me
as snakes and birds flock to my garden telling me stories giving me signs
I am most definitely not a witch though tobacco is my ally mugwort helps me to see
sometimes my dreams come true and I talk to nature sing songs to trees
and my friends are witches and curanderos shapeshifters and magicians
but me? I go by no labels so I am everything and nothing all at once
