Wishing it Would Rain — Dancing with the Temptations…

Photo by Jessica Knowlden on Unsplash

In 1971, I worked with developmentally delayed kids. We held dances. A little white boy explained to us staffers, I can’t dance — I’m not black.

Meanwhile, playing the Temptations’ I Wish it Would Rain allowed me to snuggle up close, slow dancing with a special guy, breaking all the rules.

Thank you, Jonica Bradley, for this tempting prompt!
