Window or Aisle, Which Is the Better Seat on a Plane?

I’m a Window Seat Kinda Girl!

There’s always going to be some debate as to which seat is the better seat on a plane. Window or aisle? Well, I’m here to weigh up both seats, but you decide which one is the better preference.

Why Window Is Better

The window seat is my favourite, whether it’s a short flight or a long-haul flight. Why? Well, first it’s all about the view.

Everybody loves to see out the window unless you’re a little scared of heights or flying. Views from the air can vary from oceans, islands, green landscapes and if you’re flying high - amazing clouds.

Yes, even the clouds can be awesome to watch. I love staring at soft, white clouds. They can be so mesmerising. Watching the clouds can be so relaxing, especially if you are a nervous flyer. They remind me of a nice, fluffy quilt or pillow. Yep, this can send me to sleep in no time, with the added bonus of the window to rest against.

Then, of course, being in the window seat means you don’t have to worry about other passengers disturbing you when they need to leave their seats.

Why Aisle Is Better

Some prefer the aisle seat. The aisle seat gives you more flexibility if you like to move around. Being in the aisle seat means you can get up and stretch your legs as often as you want without disturbing the person sitting next to you.

Access to the overhead locker is also easier when sitting in an aisle seat. There’s no need to store your belongings on the floor in front of you, instead, you can stand up and access the overhead locker any time you want.

Sitting in an aisle seat also means you have a little more leg room and you’ll be one of the first people off the plane.

🌤️ What’s your preference? Window or aisle?
