Will You Walk Beside Me?

It isn’t simply about dumping our emotional baggage on others. Instead, we will have someone who’ll walk beside us, one who can share the burden that no single heart should bear alone.

when someone says we can rely on them i find myself grappling with the foreign concept while i’m standing at crossroad where vulnerability meets trust

for my path had always been lonesome never having known the comfort of steadfast support

can this assurance be true that we can lighten the burden our shoulders that’s too much for us to handle on our own

in a world absorbed in its own pursuits where people are occupied with their own battles also who divert their eyes feigning ignorance

Will there be a soul willing to lend their strength to lighten this weight on my shoulder?
