My child wanders
in a crustless cruel world
nap-lands school
of never-more pie
turtle-dove left dry & high
but in gentle lapping
of pav’s lullaby
watching
from my windowless cart
of confusion I write you
my letters of wonder
in hells sweltered skelter
without condition — how
will you rise my love
Tune in to rush, a caw —
a warbling wordle
die-cast from a tear so rare
a soul so deep
heads down push
takes the fall
blue moons last call
back from black
crowning
returning the gift —
last of lost innocence
noon’s high time to rise
my love
in an empty blue room
spins a black-n-white tale
“impossible” screams
in the space in between
pain of my fail
chaos tall order
pausing the strain
of little remorse
“what direction” I whale
never more will I rise
my love
when an open plain view
vista’s a rescued
royal blue mix
when wise eyes
burns bright
a monkey sky bliss
then what is taken
becomes what is given
the greatest of prize
is the greatest of love
a morning star served
on an open grill flame
shares a carnival map
high in the sky
taking a liner
on luxury’s lap
forever’s born wild
naptime is seen
been blazing sweet trails
in sugar cane fields
paying all fees
returning all keys
linner’s dessert roll
from a luminous rush
in a black-bird song
ever more will rise to
my love
🪶When our animal kingdom shares a yarn across all time barriers take a moment to rise to their loveდ
🪶Under the watchful gaze of luminosity—take a pause to breathe in a rescued land of enduring love დ
Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things that escape those who only dream at night — Edgar Allan Poe
To finish off, here is short snippet of crow, saying a very long good morning whilst raising his concerns which contributed to the desire to submit this piece…
Dedicated to our animal soul family, who continue to blaze invisible trails of enduring love across all time zones…with special mention & deep gratitude to Percy, Zola, Oscar, ‘Puppy’, Fonz and Golden Boy who have touched my heart with memorable messages and moments of loyalty, bravery, humor and love.
Sending a big thank you to Paroma Sen and Scrittura for her liberating poem & writing prompt, ‘The In-between Places” which further influenced the creation of this piece.
