Will you raise your hand before walking on a zebra crossing?
A little girl who stood on the side of a street stretched out an arm to point to the sky, as our car was approaching a zebra crossing.
Once our car stopped, the little girl quickly ran across the street. She looked calmly, but still very childish.
A cute kid!
Her gesture was exaggerated but she showed her clear intention in a good way.
Adults rarely do this, including me.
Making clear gestures before walking on a zebra crossing gives a distinct instruction to car drivers so that they could deal with the situation as soon as possible.
