Will Write For Cat Food

The sweet little hungry monsters

I'm greeted by 5 hungry mouths each morning

Yea. I brought this upon myself. A couple months ago, five little kittens were playing in the bushes above a dirty harbor. I couldn’t just leave them there.

It started out fine. They were only a couple months old. A few cans of food a day did the trick. Plus, with the fear of being around humans and in a house, they mostly hid in a dark corner anyway. Not much energy exertion.

Then, they got comfortable with us. It took quite a while actually. I was surprised how stubbornly the feral clung on to their little frames. But, they became sweet, playful, pur machines after six to eight weeks of trying. Hurray! Look at them play! Look at them go! Look at them…poop. Look at them….eat constantly.

What had I done? I had to downgrade the quality of food fast, which I really hated to do, but they were blowing through it far too quickly. The price was soaring. This is how the parents of Emily Elizabeth must have felt when Clifford started becoming a very big red dog. It made sense as a kid. Now, I wonder if those parents had to turn to blogging for extra cash.

How can five tiny kittens eat this much? Is a second mortgage for cat food too far? Maybe I should just stop feeding myself. It is really pricey to buy groceries anyway. This would be a win win for all.

The five kittens that use to run and hide, now great me at my bedroom door. Puring. Snuggling. Begging for breakfasts. They had gone through dinner and midnight snack. It was time for breakfast and then brunch. What about elevenses and lunch? Tea time? Supper?

I wouldn’t trade any of this. Really. But it is definitely time to find them their forever homes. My oldest has volunteered to take the Orange one. She named him Whiskey. The other four are just as cute as can be. They have all been to the vet and are ready.

Okay, we named them all. Yea, I would keep them all. Just need another house. Is it strange to buy the house next to my own for the sole purpose of filling it with cats? I really need to pick up my writing game. Just need to make a few hundred extra thousand dollars to support my kitten habit.

Change? Change? Spare some change?

I am writing about improving myself, traveling, making money, paying off debts, figuring out how to help others, and all the thoughts and questions I have along the way. Consider following me to see what happens next!
